Sculpture in the Vineyards
The Exhibition features an innovative array of large-scale outdoor and site-specific works amid the beauty of Wollombi vineyards. Undercliff Winery, Wollombi Village Vineyard, Noyce Brothers Wines, Wollombi Wines, Stonehurst Cedar Creek & The Gate Gallery.
Combine a taste for fine regional wines with a wander through some of the most historic and picturesque countryside in NSW.
Dancers from the local Ngurra Bu Aboriginal community were hilarious and fantastic at the opening. The band, 'The Runaway Cabbages' provided great music and there was fabulous food from the local restaurants/cafes!
The Acquisitive prize was won by Al Phemister for his sculpture 'Dandelion' and the non-acquisitive prize was won by Mike Patton for 'Earthstars'. Both of these sculptures can be seen at Undercliff Winery.

Wollombi Wild Ride
2011 was an exciting race but we have had reports that some of the competitors were almost bogged on Undercliff's back paddock - a source of great entertainment to our prize bull! We really enjoyed hosting the race in aid of the Hunter Prostate Cancer Alliance. Over $10,000 was donated to Hunter Prostate Alliance. It also raised funds for the Laguna Rural Fire Brigade, CREST Newcastle and Cessnock St. John's Ambulance. See www.wollombiwildride.net for further information.
We look forward to seeing you all this year and of course you are welcome to visit us at any time to enjoy a glass of wine or stay in our Settlers Cottage. Picnickers are welcome too! Please contact us.
